Hey there! Welcome to our little corner of the internet. I'm glad you found us. You might be wondering who in the world we are. We are still trying to figure that out, but you're welcome to read along as we get there!
My name is Amber. I am a 25 year old Southern girl from a big family that moved around a lot. I came to southeast Tennessee for college and I was blessed enough to meet a handsome man with a Southern drawl who felt like settling down. I have a job that's great for now, but I still haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up.
Fun facts about me: I look younger than I am, and I routinely get carded to be able to buy video games and PG-13 movies. I am great at dreaming up projects that we don't have the money to execute, and consequently I spend a lot of time DIY-ing things to make our house a little better. I love photography, making old stuff look new, and painting (although I tend to get more on myself than on the wall or canvas).
My husband Robby is the other half of this team they call marriage. Usually I refer to him here as Hubster or the Hubs, because that's more fun than writing his actual name over and over. He is a practical joker with a quick wit and he keeps people on their toes. It's my full-time job to keep him in line. He compliments me by being patient and stress free and a lot of other things I am not.
Fun facts about Robby: He played college baseball once upon a time, and now he keeps his skills sharp by playing in the old man leagues and by torturing his body by exercising. He looks just like his dad, which is great because it gave me a chance to see what I'm in for in 30 years (spoiler alert: it's not too bad). He works full time, but he's also in grad school getting his master's degree in teaching, so I'm really proud of him.
We don't have any kids yet, unless you count the one waiting for us in heaven or the ones we kept temporarily as foster parents.
We do have pets though! We have an African Pygmy Hedgehog named Prickles:
And our newest addition is a Blue Tick hound dog named Boston. You will probably see them featured here fairly often.
