It's a girl!!

Our first foster care placement should be on her way to us today!! We are so excited. It's a little girl and she is 4 days old.

You might be thinking to yourself.... I thought they were doing 5-12 year olds.

We were. But God had different plans. Ill give you the incredible story of how He opened all these doors and provided everything for us soon.

Until then, ill leave you with a glimpse of the wonderful madness taking over our house.

  1. Loving this announcementa! What generous friends to supply all your needs on short notice. I saw a mug once when i was first pregnant that said, X"Poof, youc're a parenta!x" sure applirs to tou nowa! Praying for you all.

  2. Exciting times! Wow, 4 days old! I can't wait to hear the story behind this. God is so funny…I actually laughed a little when I saw this…especially after just seeing the wonderful room you created in your home that's very much for older kids. Our first time around we said 0-5 years old but we were still quite surprised and unprepared when we got a call for a 2 month old. We had a crib and a few clothes and blankets but very little else and no time to prepare…she was at our house an hour after the call. We all went to Target together to buy bottles, bibs, pacifiers, formula, etc. Thankfully she came with a big trash bag full of clothes and an infant carrier car seat (I'm still not sure if they were collected from donations at CPS or if they came from her bio family.) The great news is, babies don't really need a ton of stuff. There are millions of helpful things but the actual stuff needs are very minimal. Something to wear, somewhere to sleep, diapers, a few blankets, bottles, bibs, formula…the rest is just fluff. And of course they need lots of love and nurturing but that goes without saying. I'm praying for you and your husband as you prepare and praying for a smooth transition for all 3 of you! Also for peace and sleep!

  3. Woohoo!!!! Very exciting, I'm sure she's precious. Happy happy day :)
